CROCUS MILL
This vacant mill has been derelict for a number of years. The site was acquired and planning permission to turn a group of vacant industrial buildings near Nottingham Railway Station into 30 flats has been secured.
Regeneration of Crocus Mills on Crocus Street on the southern entrance into Nottingham city centre after receiving planning permission from Nottingham City Council, will fulfil an economic role by bringing about the repair and re-use of a vacant building on a brownfield site and by providing employment during the construction phase. This project will also fulfil an economic and social role by providing accommodation for residents who will then make use of city centre facilities.
Environmentally, this ambitious project will improve the appearance of a neglected building and add to Nottingham’s cityscapes.
The project is scheduled to be completed in 2025.
